  • October 17, 2005: New Study Demonstrates Accuracy of Non-Invasive Method to Measure Platelet pH; Blood Cell Storage, Inc., (BCSI) today released preliminary results showing its proprietary pH Monitoring System can determine the pH of platelets while maintaining bag sterility. The results were presented today at the Annual Meeting of the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) in Seattle, Washington. To learn more click here.
  • March 4, 2005: Platelet rich plasma product verification. BCSI has successfully measured the pH in multiple platelet and plasma samples using our prototype instrument with various interfering substances. These studies were carried out in collaboration with our partners at Sanquin. 
  • January 17, 2005: pH detector manufacturing prototype instruments and inserts completed. BCSI announces that the manufacturing prototype pH readers have been completed. These machines will perform our optical pH measurement of the plasma bag contents. BCSI has also completed the design and mold building for our injection molded blood bag inserts. These inserts will house the surface for our optical pH sensitive chemistry.
