Nucleic Acid Extraction System

The Company’s NAE System consists of a disposable card and programmable instrument. The System allows faster, cheaper and better extraction of DNA and RNA (nucleic acids) from a variety of sample types. The purified NA is the key element needed to develop molecular diagnostic testing including pathogen detection, genetic analysis for disease markers, and certain tissue and blood typing for those samples containing small amounts of nucleic acids. The BCSI NAE Card will ultimately permit rapid and cost effective near patient laboratory diagnostic testing that will enable point-of-care diagnostic medicine.
